I have just got 2 new topic notifications in my inbox but all i can see is two messages a few months old. Can someone explain to me what is going on as I am being a bit thick?

You've ticked a box somewhere that you wish to be notified of any further post activity in a particular topic .....  :y

You go into your profile, choose options and scroll down and you can untick the box

Me too! I have noticed in my options i do not have the box ticked but i have selected yes when asked if i want email notifications.
P.S. What does the star in the subject line signify?
