It used the BMW Z axle
It uses many BMW parts, as do all 75s, 45s, and 25s.  But it ain't a BMW chassis.

Not too impressed with the Rovers power output, an extra 1500 cc only produces 50 bhp more than a 3 ltr Meega :-?

A friend of mine has an Audi A8 V8 , it's F'ing gorgeous.... and VERY rapid.......

okay so they'll probably hold value reasonably... but it's got to be worth a look....

My Brother recently bought a new Passat.... it's far and away the best VW i've ever seen.....  ... not quite in the A8's class, but VERY very nice....  nonetheless

While I like the IDEA of this Rover, I wouldn't touch it with some one else's Barge-pole.... !!!  ANY rover's going to be bad enough... but the low numbers and rarity of spares will make this an albatross in no time .,

If you want the Rover V8, get the MG ZT 260 version rather than the grandaddy 75. Same chassis underneath but the ZT is the sporty variant, comes with a manual box and will have better suspension (not to mention it looks better).

Bit disappointed with the power though, 260 BHP from a 4.6 V8! Then I realised it's actually a yank Ford V8 taken from the Mustang which explains it :D. I've driven one and much as it sounds nice, it did not feel particularly fast at all (admittedly that was through a slush box, the GT comes with 6 speed manual but I couldn't find one). Torque is 302 lb/ft so pretty good  - similar to the 4.4 V8 in my BMW.

I'm sure the ZT 260 will be good fun though with a decent chassis driving through the rear wheels.

IIRC, the V8 75/MG is 4WD

OK, thought they were 4WD, but certainly knew they weren't FWD...
