Isn't there an interceptor with around 7.2 litres?  :-/
And the Daddy must surely be the FF.
It's pity the fuel crissis of the 70's killed quite a few of the big gas guzzlers off.  :'(

yeah there was a 7.2 aswell, the FF was just a 4wd version of the interceptor, adding more problems to the car.

Not quite just  :-? The front end  was differenter/long, there are 2 vents in each wing, rather than just one in yours. Still .... I wouldn't mind the chance to have the problems ..... could't be worse than the electrickery problems of an Omega ;D  ;D  ;D

front end was different cos they stopped making them in the mk 1's mine is a mk2, the vents dont serve much purpose, the main problems were down to overheating, the radiator isnt much bigger than the miggy's   :o

Qute advanced for their time. I think I'm right in saying they were the first to play with ABS on a car .... it didn't work too well ..... but they tried!  :y  :y  :y

BMW 1st brought out an electronic ABS in the early 80's but the Jensen's was a belt driven set up, similar I believe to the NON electric version offered on early MkIII Escorts & Orions ..... that wasn't very good either.

Cut my fleet too, down to Jag, clitSport 182, Jeep, Veccy 2.6, and Pug 406HDI...

For the first time in 4 years i had no miggy ( weighed two in with a 4 series Rover  and bought the tourer 4 days later  ;D)

Might very well have. I thought it was BMW, however Jensen definately beat them both on the Interceptor. I think there's perhaps confusion between the fully electrickery type on later cars and the belts & braces type on the Interceptor.

ok ill set the record str8, jensen was the first to utilise the abs system, not invent it. remember jensen was a heinz 57 made from parts from different cars. only the body design was unique lol. kinda spoils the romance i know.
