Funny you should say this. I have had the TC light flashing unexpectedly a couple of times since they've been gritting (tyres on the back have only done 1 or 2 K, hence they should grip OK, and I am not minded to leave rubber everywhere given that the bill's still in my short term memory
).
Meanwhile, the Westfield has nearly swapped ends on me a couple of times. It's let go so violently that I've actually gone over the back end and checked it because I was convinced something was shifting under load.
This might explain everything.

Could explain why I couldn't set off the other night at a roundabout.
I 'attempted' to set off in a smallish gap, and the car just stood still spinning the wheels and fighting with TC. When it did finally did move forwards, it was too late, so applied the brakes and was surprised to feel the ABS kick in as I was hardly moving!
There was deffo no ice on the road as it was about 4 degrees! Ok the road was wet, but it seemed strange to the point where I almost went to tesco to check the tyre pressures (then remembered that they have a stupid machine there now, so didn’t bother) :-/
