Some People Shouldnt be allowed to drive
« on: 16 January 2009, 16:18:34 »

Wife just off phone, wanted to know what to pay for oil for Pug 306  :o

Her business partners car was, according to her, sounding rough.

When she questioned when it was last serviced and when the oil was checked ( yknow the 1-2-3 basics of motoring) she was advised he had NEVER put oil in it. He has had the car 4 years.

Same fool only knows he drives a Pug 306 because its written on the back, doesnt know how old the car is as it has a private plate and is currently using the handbrake to stop the car as the brakes are kaput and he cant afford to buy new ones untill Payday!!!!!!

Ive told her not to travel in his vehicle and he`s driving a death trap!

The guy whilst decent nice and an honest enough bloke isnt into cars, or girls for that matter and really is a bit of an airhead  ;D

Anyone heard of a bigger idiot in charge of a vehicle !? :-[

Hence, amongst my colleagues, I'm the Friday Dunce...

Sticking a butty in his hand is the only way to get him stopped.

A while ago on another forum about a mate;

A friend I work with was complaining today how he has to change the tyres on his car again today. Not odd as all cars need tyres now and then. He does drive like a mad man sometimes however this will have been his 5th pair this year!

Asked him why would he change them that often and he said he changes when they get to 2.5mm so when wet etc he gets more grip [his parents have drummed this into him]. Fair enough however outside before he drives off I said to him theres way more than 2.5mm on them, he says nah they just look like that. Anyway out comes the tyre gauge and shows me.

He places the gauge on the tyre 1.6mm moulding and shows me just under 2.5mm. .

So for the last 2 years he has been replacing his tyres at ~4mm, the look on his face .

Sounds like what my dad did with my VW Scirocco...lent him it so he could take his wife and her son down too Duxford.

Phones me up and says ""You engine sounds like its had a bag of spanners dropped in it......oh and ive filled up for you.""

Turns out he had filled up with diesel (escort van driver) and than sat on the A14/M11 at 70/80mph for about 30 odd miles...wondering why it was coughing and farting...amazingly the car still ran. ;D
