OOF - Part 2
« on: 10 January 2007, 20:16:47 »

I was an early adopter of internet, using since early nineties, and have been a member of many interent communities.

Despite this, I am still (pleasantly) surprised and humbled by the spirit of members on this forum - willing to put themselves out for other members in their times of need.  I have received much help from people here (both this forum and when some of us were members of another forum), but I have been really touched by the offers of help in my recent hour of need.  Mrs TheBoy is disbelieving that so many people, most of whom I have never met, have been so willing to put themselves out to assist. And the car isn't even an Omega.

So, on behalf of the forum team, I would like to thank all those who help out others in their hour of need, be it with advice here, or physically assisting.  You are the people who make the forum what its is in my eyes...

But also on a personal note, I would like to thank everyone for the help and advice regarding Mrs TheBoy's Rover gasket failure, and in particular to JamesV6CDX who has agreed to come over and help me get the car running again.  I would also like to thank Marks_DTM who has put himself out for me on a number of occasions now.

As I say, I am truely humbled...

And it takes a lot to humble our Jaime! ;)

This is another example of the wonderful community spirit we have here. Never come across anything like it.

You lot are brilliant... even Markjay with his bl**dy oil threads!  ;D

this forum does have something special. Before this forum, and the other site. I owned a Mondeo, and belonged to their forum, it was not a patch on this forum in many ways, speed of reply, offers of help
general friendliness.

I personally have learnt so much, and saved a LOT of money. Made money to due to projects  :y

In no way does my post count reflect my use of the site(5 months-ish ive been here), though I am on here frequently but just stay quiet. It's a good forum with plenty of helpful and knowlegable people as the sites foundation!!

Well done everyone!  :)

Agreed.  I've never seen a forum like this.

Another thing I've noticed is that no threads go un-answered and usually attract between 5-10 replies.  So many times I've dropped into a forum hoping to find a solution and come across dead questions.

Well done everyone!

I have to agree with all said so far, and nearly 600 members in 6 months - brillant!! :y :y

I have to say that I was new to Forums prior to briefly joining VXon nearly a year ago and then this place last July, and despite being a bit "green" was made to feel very welcome and found it very friendly and helpful. Well done you Admin guys and everyone else for making this place so good.  :y :y :y :)
