*******STOLEN VEHICLE********
« on: 21 January 2009, 22:13:07 »

A white transit van was stolen from work yesterday. I was in the office alone at the time as all the drivers were on the road. The Registration is YF08 LGY. It has the Hire companys logo written all over it (I don't know if I am aloud to mention the name) It was stolen from Preston at 15:00 but it could be anywhere in the country by now. It has a large dent on the back doors. Please could you all keep your eyes open as my job is on the line.

I take it you've reported it to the cops - I'd suggest you post up the number of the local police station (or at least allow members to PM you) so they can advise if it's been spotted.

There's a lot of members on here, covering a large area...  :y

The phone number for the police station (Bamber Bridge) is 01772 415734 and PM's are always welcomed as I check my emails every 30 mins so no info will go un-noticed. Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

The van has Thrifty Car and Van Rental written in large letters all over the van

Another forum said that in the circumstances I can name the company as it give extra Identification. Therefore if Anyone has a problem with me mentioning the company name please delete it and I will try and give a description

If I am allowed I have a link to a picture on our website that shows exactly what the van looks like. It's not a link to the main page just the picture

Whats the chances of it having the same plates on....very slim id say.

And with being sign written probably not in one piece now.

Were the keys left in the ignition by the way..?

No. The keys were left (by mistake) hidden under the counter. The guy who took the van was caught on CCTV leaning right over to see what was there.

I guess this was your responsibility, judging by your first post :(
