Gear box oil and Power steering fluid.
« on: 23 January 2009, 18:20:35 »

Went into the Toyota spares shop the other day to buy some jubilee clips. Out of curiosity, I asked how much the power steering fluid was. The bloke behind the counter pulled out auto box oil and said " you can use this". Is that true? Does the gear box oil double up as power steering fluid?

not really on an Omega.

PAS is Dex 2
Gearbox is Dex3

But very closely related, They were both Dex3 at one point, then they changed the Dex3, the new version caused leaks, so they downgraded it to Dex2.
