Car Auction Prices - Worth A look
« on: 28 January 2009, 16:46:43 »

Just watched some astonishing prices at one of the local auctions.

Obviously the lack of £`s is killing the market :)

I smile as its good for someone looking to buy  :y or who can actually afford big car running costs.

Today ive watched a some pretty decent cars sell for criminal prices including....

2003 Porsche 911 Carerra Cabrio with 26k & FSH go for £17000
2002 2.5 TD Sport Grand Cherokee with 49k go for £2350

and in the bargain bucket...

1999 Facelift 2.5 V6 CD Omega go for £200
2000 Plate Rover 45 IXL go for £150

All of these were MOTd and in pretty ok condition..

So if you have pennies to burn and a day off during the week you may want to investigate your local auction  :y

Went to the BCA car auctions in Peterborough on Friday......strangely prices seemed higher than a month ago.

Last month I bought a Nissan Almera Tino on a 55 plate with only 4000 miles on it....for £3450 plus costs.

This month similar cars were going for £4000+.......Didn't buy anything

No idea why. :-? :-? :y

According to all the TV pundits they are cheap, reliable, easy to maintain and ok to drive.

Personally I cant stand the looks.
