Builders next door pi$$ing me off
« on: 30 January 2009, 18:20:53 »

Went out this evening to have a short walk (exercise after heart op) its pretty dark now but noticed marks on house wall (mortar from builders next door) then looked at my V6 kinell splashes all over it so have just ended up hosing & sponging car & house wall down (just what i need NOT) Bastards had gone home till monday felt like chucking a can of old paint over the new homes there building next to me its about 3rd time its happened  first time took me ages to get it off my motor without it scratching it, as they chuck waste mortar from high up on scaffolding which splats on the wet ground then goes every where, I have told em previously but as ever they dont give a shit ..ok rant over  will tackle em Monday  !!! >:(

Don't speak too the sausage jockeys direct but go too the site foreman and tell him you've taken extensive pictures of house and car with mortar on them (make sure you do next time) and make him aware you will be contacting the local authorities.

Wouldn't hurt too play on the fact you've had heart surgery and the negative effect the stress causes.... :y

Simply ask the site foreman for the company insurance details. When he asks why, tell him the you intend to to pursue a claim for damage to your property including your car. He should give you the details, if not notify the following and in no particular order:
your local MP
Local Councilor
Department of Trade
Local paper
Local TV station
Points of View
Cowboy Builders on TV
Etc
Have fun with the bastards :y

Surely they should have put up some form of sheeting on the scaffolding to protect anything being splashed about if so close to your house?
