How much faster is the 2.2 auto over the 2.0l.?
swmbo is moaning saying hers is too slow, ::) ::) ::) she has been spoilt driving a V6 mitsubishi Galant which is, well, pretty damn quick. ;)

Seen these locally

Personally i didn't find there was that much difference between the 2.0/2.2 although both of mine were manual.

Both frighteningly slow compared too the V6 of course..... ;D

if i had my time over Mike id get a v6 only because is pi$$es me off not having that v6 rumble. I wouldn't say 2.2 is auto is quick of the mark ,but once you do get it to go ,it goes well

2.2 seems pricy
2.5 - mileage? but looks ok

Personally I'd go for a V6 every time.

Ive just bought a 2.2 for £2488,which i thought was reasonable but possibly a tad high, but that one is in a garage so well within reason to haggle it down a fair bit......

Personally im happy with the 2.2,its my second and tbh i wouldnt have any other, its quick enough, reasonably easier engine to work on and probably cheaper for labour and parts etc the a V6....cheaper to insure and feed with fuel......

Having said that fuel costs are going on data etc,as i have not had a V6

V6 is no doubt better performance etc but my CD has everything i need, decent spec and as i said its not blistering but its not a slouch either...

My must have these days for me is comfort reasonable equipment and acceptable running cost which to me the 2.2 does all that

Im not interested in the power and speed of the V6,tbh where do you get the chance these days to use it to its full potential?

Good chance i will get killed here now,im not saying anything against the V6 its just my 2.2 is everything i need....

If its for the mrs and she is not a speed freak then the 2.2 would be perfect

I noticed that. They are a bit cowboyish, but been around a long time. I know the wife of the owner. ;) ;) Have been to see two Migs there in the past, both I walked away from. :-/
Just thought with a trader I could trade in the Mitsubishi. :y

the 2.2 feels a bit more pokey than the 2.0, but really not much between them....

Never driven a 2.2. Driven a few manual 2.0's so could'nt compare. If you're happy with the 2.2 then stay with it matey. Many of us like the V6's because they suit the character of a big luxury car even when driven gently. On a run 3000rpm eqates to 80mph in 5th & 35+ to the gallon. Plenty of GRUNT in lower gears so yes it can be used but the main thing is you drive what you're happy with.
I've seen some members 4 potters that are peaches, look gorgeous & show the love that's put into them. A Mig's a mig in my book. :y

Yeah Amigo agree totally,i wasn't meaning any harm to the V6.....

I love my Omega most when you pull out of a side street with just a wee poke on the gas and it just glides out magestically...

Im not against big engines....God knows ive had a few
3l 12v 3l 24v in Monza's and Carlton GSi's and Senny's  :y

I actually like the fact mine is quite slow.... ;D :-?

I love gliding about slowly in it so people can see it!! :y :y

My thing now is to have my Mig and then a second car for the big engine and plenty of grunt, that way i can go out blast the hell out it and then return to my daily couch!! :y
 ;D ;D

In fact i've never driven an auto Mig except The Boy's tractor into the polishing bay @ Timbuks Telford meet. That only involved creeping forward with my foot on the brake in drive. Don't think i touched the throttle.
Driving admins cars is uncomfortable for some reason!!!! ::)
