Gave Mrs AA's 14 year old clit a good service this morning, cured the oil leak by fitting a new sump plug, the last time the dealer had it they said....head gasket leaking, will cost £750 to put right.

Mrs AA thinks I'm a genius ;D

Does Mrs AA polish her engine too AA? Or do you have to do it? Or dont you bother coz its not your car?

PS  :y on fixing it.......i hope you only charged her £500 tho  :D

Remember the original Mini's ?. I recon they had designed the engine to have an oil leak to stop the front subframe rusting. You very rarely saw a (REAL) Mini with a rusty front subframe. Then my Mum bought a Datsun 100A, Japan's version of the Mini. And they forgot the engine oil leak. And the front subframes rusted like........I remember welding plates on top of plates on them. ;D ;D
