A certain proportion would be better indoors, if possible.  Ramps/power/air compressor a distinct advantage.  Its not great working on cars out in the wind and rain....   :(

Some things like software checks/updates etc can be done from sitting inside the car but bigger jobs such as cambelts, brake/suspension work will be rather cold, wet and dreich in the rain...   ;)
