Tbh I was sceptical when I first heard about it,there are few depths that some "celebrities" and their agents will not plumb for publicity.
However my mrs has been following the story on TV etc (she is one of the lucky ones) and I have no doubt that it is genuine .

She originally became "famous" by being on big brother iirc, she then went on to make a career as a "celebrity",kind of person I personally have no time for,but she has apparently been diagnosed with several secondary cancers and the prognosis is not good,so I think its a matter of basic human decency to have a bit of sympathy.

Not for her...not a shred.

Yes she is very ill and no doubt die so for that i feel for her family....i have no sympathy as she was determined too keep previously booked celeb appointments than meet her treatment/specialist meeting dates. >:(

Like a lot of people on here I have "limited" sympathy for Jade . I mean I wouldnt wish it on anyone, but at the end of the day shes a Zlist celeb, famous for being famous, who seems to be constantly on the lookout for the next news story fix and who comes across as a bit rude and ignorant. Less generous people have made Karma remarks about her illness. Wouldnt go that far, just hope she gets better-and then just disappears and is never seen on TV or in a magazine again!!
FFS, you do have to worry about the state of our media when these sort of people get higher profiles in the news than natural disasters/wars etc

Thats the thing Jerry...she put her so called career before treatment...missed appointments too attend showbiz do"s.

3/4 of my family have either died from or had cancer and despite needing the money generated from work they all bloody well kept hospital appointments ect.

Na sod her i have no sympathy what so ever.

What a sad world in which we now live; value judgements on others based on what level of celebrity they have attained; be they z-list, a-list or just 'private' (like the rest of us): we are human (and perhaps most valuably) have humanity.
We walk this way once, people make mistakes (and yes, she has made many), but, as the old saying goes: "There but for the grace of God go I"

Jade Goody has children; they and she are suffering....please show some humanity. :'(

I very rarely watch the news at all, so this is the first I knew about Jade's illness.

We all know someone be it a family member or freind that has or has had Cancer, it is a terrible thing, certainly not to be mocked.

I am still suprised though the lack of testing women actually have....

Cervical Screening I think is every 3-5 years starting at about 20 years old.
I was more suprised that women until they are 50 years old dont have Mammogram's...

There have been what seems to be lately quiet a few "Famous Women" around 30years old having problems, imagine how many normal women of that age there must be in the same situation.

I would like to think Jade gets Well Soon.

Im with Debs on this one,for God sake the lassie is going to die leaving 2 kids with no mother at a very young age......

Who cares whether she is a A list Z list celeb or not......if this was a 'normal' girl from your town you would be sympathetic.....

Jade Goody went on to Big Brother, took her clothes off, made an a*se of herself, showed millions she was not the brightest star in the sky and ended up finacially very well off and has given 2 children a comfortable poverty free life!!

So how does that make her a bad person??

I dont particularly like her but jeezo......... >:(

I knew a girl who had the same illness and she was in great agony. A really lovely girl with two young children at the time aged 5 and 3. She died a very unpleasent death. Wouldn't wish it on anyone, especially someone so young with children.

I wouldn't wish illness on anyone, but I still don't know who she is. I refuse to watch crap like BB so that might explain it.

My thoughts exactly. I've always found her coarse & vulgar but she's a result of her upbringing, sorry but look the mother's a crusty fishwife. The media made her famous & wealthy, well done tabloid readers & X factor watchers. Given her background i don't blame her for milking it for all it's worth. I don't like her or people like her but to be hit as hard as she has is a rough trot.
She's a gobshite but she's also a Mother who has to come to terms with the fact she's not going to see her children grow up. If you're a 27 yr old parent with young kids imagine you've only got a few months left. I feel sorry for her. No one deserves that.

Had the argument with the missus what was worse :-
goody with cancer - "but i'm a Leo? "
Pratchett with Alzheimer's - a real loss

goody in the sun - she's suffering so much - what a star - last year she was a disgrace after the shetty  incident

Wholeheartedly agree - a real tragedy

the  saddest thing is that many people are suffering the same fate and go unnoticed because they are not a z list celeb, and dont have the opportunities   that j goody has  :-/
