no it wasn,t  stranded it parked up on dads farm i,ve blown 2 enginge in 4 months it got fitted by monkeys 2nd hand and bottom end went  1st engine not sure might of burnt the valves out with it running on lpg  :-/ :-/ :-/ :(

ouch not good.

well i have just quickly spoke to hubby. not good news

the RAF have close the main gates to the camp and wont let them leave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! duty of care.

my butt

 i want my hubby back. at least this way i have him back in one peice.

no not good at all but have brought a complete car to swap engines over and it has full detailed service history on it.just got to find time to do it now. at least ur hubbi safe and in the warm.

is it a easy job then what about lpg do you put any additives with itbcoz i diddn;t with mine is that cause of broken engines.im nice and cozy in the warm.

nope dont stick anything in. i do although run the car on petrol everynow and then.

The GM engines have hardened valve seats anyway so no additives required as long as the LPG is set up correctly.

If, and only if, the LPG is to blame then it wasn't correctly set up and must be leaning out too much, causing too much heat in the combustion chamber

thanks ill have to get it set up when i put engine back in is there anyone from devon who can or knows who can set it up for me ::) ::) ::)

pretty certain its multipoint but will have to look i didnt want to get my hands dirty again but don't think ill let a garage touch my car again.

TBH if it's not a multipoint system, don't bother fitting it as it will cause problems...

When you get a chance try to find out what make system it is and someone may be able to help :y :y
