Blimey - you think it'll be that close? That's generous from someone living in Swansea!

Cant see England standing up to close scrutiny of any kind and Wales will be giving them a stern examination I imagine.

Didn't see the game today but understand Mr Gatlan ain't happy

If England play as they did against Italy then Wales will win, but if they buck their ideas up and play properly it could go either way,

Yes I live in Swansea but I was born and brought up on the other side of the bridge ;)

Oh and Big Bri where in Swansea are you?

:-?  He seems quite pleased according to this:

As for England this season, Jonno was a superb player, but I don't think he's an international coach. It takes time to develop a team but the governing bodies don't usually see it that way. If they play the rest of the season like they did against Italy, he'll be out. Same sort of thing happened when we had Gareth Jenkins as the Welsh coach. He was excellent coach with the Scarlets, but not at international level.

Hi Turk,

the Gatlan happiness thing was lazy browsing on the beeb site - didn't stop to look. No reason he shouldn't be happy, huh?

I can't see England getting their act together at all. Think it'll be another embarressment. :-/

I can't see them turning things around enough myself either (or at least I bl**dy well hope not  ;D).
Ok, we went from failing dismally in the World Cup to Grand Slam champions last season but an experienced coach makes all the difference. Jonno has only just embarked on a coaching career.

Unfortunatly, cant see it myself. May have beaten Italy but only because they gifted us it. What is happening to our national teams? Cant say as I follow cricket at all but even I know that 51 or whatever it was is not good!!

Wales will win and even though I thought their game was pretty boring too, and France and Ireland look Ok this year, I can see them getting back to back slams.

France at home will be their test.

Sadly Johno is not the man for the job, we have some great talent in the side but still no direction or game plan, we need some proper leadership off and on the park at the moment and it's just not happening!

I did think that Wales looked like they have lost some of the flair and champagne rugby we've come to expect of late, the sin binning of the Scot was the key point in the game, but I fully expected a cricket score to follow, sadly for the Scots they only have 2 or 3 decent backs at the best.

as an ex player, and massive rugby fan, I have to agree with the doubt of Johnno's coaching credentials, but I also think he'll grow with what is essentially a young and inexperienced team, I don't think England will be up to much this year in the 6 nation's, but next year and in the run up to the next world cup, I think definaltely a side to be reckoned with, Johnno's passion will bring him through the early days

France have a habit of cracking under the pressure of a big game at home. I reckon it'll be Ireland that give the most trouble, but, we've still got this saturday to deal with and although England's "Italian Job" was not that inspiring...nothing can be taken for granted !
