just a random thought.  as at some point i am gettting myself a stainless exhaust and doin away with the 2 mid boxes,  one blowing at the moment from the pipe weld on the box.  
mot dew very soon aswell    

yeah get rid of the two middle boxes
it should sound nice

someone tried giving me the little scare saying that if i take the 2 mid boxes out i will lose too much back pressure.  i cant see it being much of a problem if i got a good sized stanless back box on it.

i was told that when i took both the cat and middle box off my 406
i never lost any power
if anything i think i gained a small amount

i had my timing advanced and a super chip put in a few days later

ok good.  just to be a bit more of a pain.  does it have much effect on ya emmision etc  when ya take out ya cat or in my case as it being a v6 i have 2

yeah it does
it depends how well you know the tester doing the mot

trick to do is
if you are going to have the cat's taken off try and get the person fitting the stainless steel exhaust to make it so you can unbolt a section to drop the cat's back on for when the mot is due

end of the day its custom made exhaust
if you want a section to unbolt to put your cats back on for the mot
they will be able to do it
the chap i know in stoke who does stainless steel did it for me for my 406

Don't know if this is anygood for omega ie, spacings for Cat .Richard Brunt on the Autobarnstormers site made stainless steel bits for senney exhausts (bigheds senny has one)I did pm Richard about using his ss back box on an omega But says he has not developed one for a mig May be compare bigheds ss bbox with a mig's can't be that much diff .

Bit too boyracerish for me now !!!Must be getting old!!!As for the exhaust, most good custom makers will provide you with the facility to take off /put back on the cat. Cat off will give you more power but will likely fail you on the emissions test. Further to talk of blinging up your ride, have just seen an excellent mod on the estima site where one of the guys has effectively installed a light show with flashing patterns and changing colours that run from one headlamp to the other via lighting set up on the grill. Pity I'm such a lamebrain on here that cant figure out how to put a link up as it is pretty impressive!!

i am thinking about getting one for abit of fun.had one on my first car and what fun it was.remember setting fire to aload of grass when i lived in the coutry side lol
