Fighting crime in Kent.
« on: 11 February 2009, 17:35:30 »

Kent police have organised an essay competition, the author of the best essay in each age group wins a book token. The age groups are
under 14,15 to 17, and over 18,s. the Title of the essay is "all different, same respect".The purpose being for entrants to write about their feelings regarding gay,lesbian,bi-sexual and transgender people, this is part of their celebrations during LGBT history month in which they have also organised a dinner dance featuring gay artistes,a gay quiz night and a seminar named "from outcast to out".
Anne widdecombe MP for Maidstone has suggested they might be better off asking kids to write essays on the subject of crime prevention, but it would seem that they are more interested in the fact that they haver ecently moved up the stonewall league table of "gay friendly employers" from 25th place nationally to 3rd place, than where they may be in the table of solving real crime.
I would just like to know wtf this has got to do with the police, isnt their job meant to be apprehending criminals ???? :-/ :o

Of course it is. Straight, gay, Lesbian, bisexual and transgender criminals pro-rata their percentage in the mix of society, otherwise it might look like they are discriminating.

'scuse me madam, what 'ave we 'ere then? Oh, beg your pardon, son. On your way. We've met our transgender quota for this month.

Black, white, pink or rainbow; it matters-not, which colour people are....."honest is honest and criminal is criminal": surely, a fair and equitable application of "our" laws should be effectively blind to ethnicity, sexuality and gender.

The most oppressed person in this country is a working, single, white, hetrosexual male...... everybody else has a "help and support group" and claims discrimination ! >:(

Indeed. It's when someone tries to measure the extent of blindness that it all goes horribly wrong!

In todays world this is discriminatory,as it doesnt positively discriminate in favour of black, white or rainbow,so you are probably guilty of perpatration of hate crimes. ;)
