Using your mobile whilst driving is a very serious offence as it really can kill!  So no sympathy from me on any fine, points or ban given by the courts for it! >:( >:(

However, I think we have all done things whilst driving that could have killed, I certainly know I have but luckily I have always got away with it although learning my lesson in the process! ::) ::) ::)

The main thing is as human beings we continually make mistakes, and the real problem is when we fail to learn from them! :D :D ;)

I've spent the last 5 years of my life thinking i can get away with everything and now after 2 court visits in a month i've finally realised I can't, sorting my life out now not just for me but for the missus! Need to get out of debt and start acting like an adult!

It was a business call and i was in a rush somewhere, easy mistake to make learned my lesson, never forget it now!

No business is worth the risk of you (or someone else) waking up on the wrong side of the clouds (assuming you travel in that direction!).

You wouldn't think so the amount of people you see still usins them whilst driving. >:( I've also noticed a disproportionate amount of 4x4 drivers on their phones, their cars cost a fortune but they won't spend a few bob on a hands free set >:(

I drive for my job and so I am on the road several hours each day. I see literally dozens of people everyday using their phones while driving. Don't think many people at all have got the message about the penalties or the dangers of this practise :(

To be honest, I would take the points/fine on the chin, feel you could have got worse :y

As to the phone thing - "It was a business call and I didn't think", whatever the crime was (phone use in this case) you were not thinking about your driving, which is when accidents happen.

A lucky escape on the points/fine, and even luckier that the lack of concentration didn't result in something else :y

At the risk of being controversial,if its so dangerous why (afaik)do the police use radios etc while driving ?

police radio's are now on the sterring wheel
just a press of the button and they dont have to take there hands off the wheel
so its a bit like hands free
