More to the point is, WHY are Scottish, Irish and European Trucks exempt able to get around the limiter rule.

I didn't know that.....

In the same way as the English and Welsh drivers/operators do.....   ;)

Daft as it sounds no! If you drive over hours and it's recorded on your tacho it's up to a £5,000 fine. If (like most foreign drivers) you take out your tacho it's a £50 fine for not keeping correct records of your driving hours! So they get pulled, fined and write a tacho (before the days of digital) as soon as the police go they take them back out and carry on without.

Made everything as clear as i could & made little progress. Not surprised really reading the last few posts, reinforces all my points.
Thought it was worth a try but should've known better. ::)

Some (not all) car drivers(motorists) will never understand despite professing otherwise but they just don't. Been there, i  used to only held a car licence. Remember a truck delivered the car you're all such experts in, still delivers the fuel you put in it, the bricks that built the garage you park it in, the food on your table & the table, chairs, settees, floorcoverings, paint on the walls, food in your fridges, the fridges...Every rather' thing you own is delivered by truck.
Careful what you wish for. ::)
