was it only me that witnessed the blowing up of a silver miggy estate this morning on BBC breakfast?? it was an article about yet another carbon offset brainwashing attempt about some bloke & his mrs selling their car & using public transport etc, i think there is going to be a programme about their futile attempts to make people feel guilty about living but dont know if the blowing up is the programme intro or not, so to anybody thats got sky+ have a look & weep!!, might even be on the BBC website :-/

I dont know how they can justify this when it takes more energy to build a car than it will realistically use in its lifetime.  At least recycle the bloody thing

Its crazy....

If I ahvea  car that is currently doing 38mpg....it cant be emmitting that much (the CO output is directly proportional to teh fuel consumption) and is probably outputing less than a new car being driven in the urban areas!

when my brother was alive he enquired why his landrover td5 tax was so high as it was diesel & more economical than his old suzi jeep that was petrol, the reply he got was that it was due to the fact that it MAY give off other harmful gasses![but they couldnt say what of course], my brothers response was "like pigs MAY fly you mean!"

doesn't matter, its a gaz guzzler.  Even if it did 10000mpg, its not electric, so the BBC will be anti it.
