Its the large, wet snowflakes at the moment which makes the smallest twigs about an inch or more in diameter!  I can just see the tip of the ariel on the rear of the roof above the snow.

Been busy round the house this morning, in between catching up on mails etc but certainly going out for big boys playtime in the MV6 in a wee while!

Yippee!!!!!   ;D ;D

Ouch, we are going down that route soon blocking all external internet access.

Was meant to be implemented in December so just a matter of time  :(

and the south came to a standstill.

Why is that these days?!?!?!

I remember when I started driving people rarely got stuck. I remember driving in feet of snow in my Cortina and it wasn't a problem! Nowadays if there's even so much as a snowflake on the ground the world stops turning!!

People, esp newer drivers, simply do not know how to drive in snow. And some who should know believe the car electronics should stop them having shunts in the bad weather (I'm referring to the BMW 3 series junior reps type)

Many large companies buy their filters in from companies that specialise in categorising sites.  Omega Owners usually falls in to categories such as Forums and Chatrooms and this category is usually blocked by larger companies...

The secret to snow driving in an Omega is a nice tank of traction control fluid in the back..

I keep smiling at Tunnies Senator comments, clearly hes never had his 4 pot wheel spinning....I find the 2.5 Manual lets go quite easily (with lower traction control fluid levels)....

Perhaps he should pop up and go for a drive round the country lanes......

I also remember, in my younger days when winters were far worse than they are now, we were geared up for bad weather much more than we are now. My father always had a set of snow chains, shovel, blankets etc. either in his boot or in the garage in readiness. I seem to remember that most motorists had a set of snow chains at least. Now when we get a few flakes of snow in this part of the country, no one is prepared at all and chaos rules.
