Genuine Nokia battery.
« on: 23 February 2009, 23:35:01 »

I was just looking for a new N80 battery for me and my wife. It's almost 3 years now and it needs replacement. Nokia shop is bit expensive, £21 for a battery, when phone is worth maybe £40... So again I had to go and check e-bay.
And there's my question: I know that there are a lot of fake Nokia batteries around. Poor quality and small capacity. Do you know if these ones for £4-8 with nokia logo and hologram are genuine? It should be if add is on e-bay, description says "genuine Nokia battery" and battery looks like original one, but I just don't trust e-bay any more.
Thanks for any info

If you are on a monthly contract then I'd say you're well overdue a free phone up-grade.

I have bought batteries from ebay, I think it was someone in Hong Kong. They have been good as gold.... so far.... famous last words! :y

buy a phone off ebay (that should have a genuine nokia battery in it) and a cheap nokia battery, then sell the phone for what you paid but put the cheap battery in with it and keep the genuine one

i have 2 genuine nokia batteries now after doing that, and when i originally bought a cheap battery for £4 i was sent 2, so sold one of those for £4, therefore getting the genuine battery for free, not to mention making £125 PROFIT on the phone!!

The hologram is no garauntee it's a genuine battery despite what Nokia may say.

Never had problems with any cheapo battery I have bought for my Nokia off ebay......I always go for the cheapest ones with decent feedback ratings.....
