Fair comment Andyb but then if the BAD posties acted more responsibly maybe the company wouldnt be in trouble.....its in trouble for a reason mate !!
in responce its not down to the general work force we do what we are told and in less time all deliveries were planned out and timed so for a rough example
say 15 yrs ago a postie would have 400 calls to deliver in 3hrs then management decided to save money and take jobs out so the postie delivery increased from 400 to 500 and this has been going on untill now the average postie delivers to 750 houses every day in the 3 hrs
its a mixture of bad bosses and the goverment
because royla mail is owned by the goverment when we were making profit the goverment takes a % of the total no matter what and it sets the figure for the next year so if the company makes £500 they take %50 so the company take £250 but the figure has been set for the next yr of 50% so if they make a loss of £10 they still have to give the goverment %50 of the £500 from the pre year there for making the post work at a loss for yrs
your bills ie electric are collected by tnt at 30p each where royal mail would charge 31p each
tnt then deliver all the letter to the Royal mail and we have to deliver them at 15p each givin tnt a 15p proffit and all they do is collect from the posting office and deliver to a royal mail office where they are sorted and delivered to every house in the uk for 15p these figure were set by postcom every bill rm deliver is at a loss
next time u get your post just look at where the stamp would be and you will see just how much is going through a third party
