Tony Blair & The Middle East
« on: 01 March 2009, 19:29:22 »

We are talking about Sir Fred "The Shred" Goodwin getting money for nothing.

But who else has been amazed today by the news that our dear Tony Blair, Middle East Envoy, has just visited the Gaza area of the Middle East for the first time in two years of being in that role! :o :o :o

So another Labour politician has been doing what for all this time whilst no doubt enjoying a fat salary? ::) ::) ::)

Not the right man for the job.....................in my view anyway Lizzie.
I think we need someone with a  balanced view of the situation............and for my way of thinking ..............Blair is clearly too pro-Israeli.

He did not even take the opportunity to speak to Hamas ....while he was there. :-/ :y :y :y :y

Like you Lizzie I marvelled at his absence during the recent disaster in Gaza. I can see no value in a peace ambassador who cannot /will not visit the area of his responsibility.
I noticed that the media coverage very subtly mentioned that he was on his first Middle Eastern trip since he took up the job two years ago !
Who ever considered a man who co-invaded a Muslim sovereign state to be an ideal Middle East peace ambassador ?

Don't misunderstand me ,I'm not suggesting it wasn't for a just cause.
I'm merely pointing out that his  CV doesn't really dovetail with the job spec... ;)
