Can't beat Sean .... but he had the advantage of being first!  Daniel is the best alternative though and the better Bond for the modern day action film.

You offering to put one up Martin?

Might be interesting if someone has the time to put one up for the best Bond Movie as well.

Sean was the biz, but when I watch the older filme now they are stating to show thier age.  It's like compairing new to old.  If they remade moonraker it would make the moonrover car look like action mans toy jeep..

As each Bond has been replaced they develpoed the character with the new actor, the only time it didnt work was with Roger Moore, and as most of us older members will probably agree he was better suited as Simon Templer "The Saint"

But isn't Barry Nelson technicly......admittedly a television production of Casino royale on CBS. ;)

I thought George lazenby was good....Sean Connery superb and the new boy Craig ok.

I voted for Craig based on if I had the whole collection it would probly be the newer ones I watched.  Never liked the one GL did.

I would rate the Bonds in this order. (Not had much sleep so got lazy)

The ladies do seem to like Lazenby, no idea why.  Mrs TheBoy likes On Her Majestys Secret Service, I think its one of the worse (along with Die Another Day - the all time worse in my view)
