Heart Murmur
« on: 07 March 2009, 20:52:47 »

I've been informed by my GP I have a heart murmur. She wants to listen to it again shortly.

Anyone else got one, or know what one is?  :-/

A slight skip in a normal heartbeat.

Apparantly not. I thought that too - but doc told me it was an additional noise from a valve...

My ECG is also fine....

Edit to add - I passed a Plod medical not too long ago, with nothing flagged

Was diagnosed with one approx 10yrs ago while'st taking my HGV medical from then was advised to own doctor who then got me to see specialist at hospital LGI he informed me i would possibly need surgery in 5yrs definatly in 10yrs which is where i'm at today I gradually got out of breath walking up slopes/bikeing etc as it worsened.... so just had the surgery "run of the mill ops to them" in my case i had a lazy or hardening aortic valve which was replaced in January, i feel much better for having it done & do not have the out of breath problem at all...
Thats it in a nutshell :y

I'm led to believe slight numbness & tingling in certain fingers is trapped nerves at top of the spine & or a problem with carpal tunnel in the hand itself. :-/
