WIM do it again.
« on: 10 March 2009, 10:48:56 »

Had a visit to Wheels in Motion yesterday for geometry check and tyres after having the wishbones replaced at the weekend. It needed a few adjustments to the camber and toe, but interestingly, Tony asked me if the car had a tendency to pull to the left and I said it always had done very slightly. He said that it was due to the castor settings being slightly out and many people will tell you  castor is not adjustable, but it is!! After whipping out a few bolts and moving the sub-frame slightly it's now spot on. :y Also had a couple of new Bridgestone Potenza's fitted on the front at a very reasonable price and all wheels balanced and tyres filled with nitrogen.

I've got to say it's now like driving a new car, it now feels really poised and properly planted on the road with virtually no more tramlining and really positive steering and braking.

Well done again to Tony and the team at WIM. :y :y :y

Nitrogen is supposed to have a more consistent pressure over varying temps.

compressed air that garages use contains alot of water which evaporates as the tyres get warm causeing the tyre to deflate
and also wrecks your alloys

The secret to a rattle can is patience and get the can hot before hand!
