vectra sri
« on: 11 March 2009, 21:44:02 »

hi guys, ive recently purchased a veccy sri 130,  1.8, on a x reg, and very nice to, half leather seats, air con, sri body kit etc, any way, im doing the whole getting to know the car thing, and was wondering if anyone knows what bulbs are used for behind the dash? i assume its the same as the mig but never had to change one ?
also,, there is a strange whrilling noise from engine, increases with revs, i have heard this noise from other 1.6/1.8 ecotec engines and wondered if its the norm, or sign or worn bearings,

thanks for any advise,  ;)

If it's the sound i'm thinking of (bit like a howling type sound from a belt) then it's probably fine - all three of my Vectra B's with X20XEV's made that sound.

My 2.0 ecotec has always made that noise ,a sort of "wrrrrrrr".
Is there not counterbalance shafts in the X20XEV engine?
