Elvis has left the building !!!!
« on: 13 March 2009, 16:09:02 »

Well, that's me done!!

I finish on BT today, voluntary leavers package....  let's face it, it's going down the bl00dy pan, there are several more waves of redundancies scheduled in 2009  :-X Oh! And Managed Attrition...  (Getting rid by whatever means!)

They've offered a share save scheme only recently, not many takers, So, they've offered a really low one only today, 61p per share over 5 years...  "A drowning man may clutch at a straw!" Most folks I know are cancelling them... Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

I got off the boat at the harbour....  I could only just see the portholes above the waves :-/

Having 02 BB on Wednesday, yes! it does hurt  >:(

The kids don't want to lose the BT Vision, I may get a Daewoo PVR3 twin tuner which will live pause, we already have Sky + anyway, I fitted that a few weeks ago...

What am I going to do?  Well, firstly I'm off to Uttoxeter Race Course next wee, No! Not to blow the wad...  but, there's an Inland Revenue Seminar for new businesses, going to try to get a grant or something to start on my own, I'm planning to help my Wifey to set up her proposed dolls house web site etc...  I'm an ex-security engineer, so CCTV, Alarms are the obvious choice, also extensions, Sky plus multiroom is a Godsend..  I'm also currently 16th Edition qualified, so, I'm back off the college for 12 weeks to get 17th / Part P quals...

I've also contemplated advertising a service of house cleaning in the nude, need to slim down, I look pregnant in my pinafore :-*

Perhaps you should have tried for a years free BB and BTV as part of the redundancy.

That said we use TV Replay only as otherwise it is expensive.
