DIS pack and repositioning?
« on: 28 January 2007, 20:58:33 »

Has anyone looked at a better place to mount the DIS pack?

Can't be that hard to lenghten the loom...proper solder joints and heat shrink etc

space is at a premium in the V6 bay, there is no ware else that springs to mind of possible mounting locations. It also has to be very secure.

Why move it?

Out of the way of the HBV that seem to let go and damage the DIS, making HT lead replacement easier to mention just 2 reasons

And I have a clinical obsession to mod cars and bikes  ;D

And you really don't want to use longr HT leads, plus id the DIS is not on the engine block then you need to consider the HT route to avoid shafing as result from the relative movement of the engine.
