It was a totally cr@p F1 car. A bit ambitious for the 50's. This soundtrack is a testimony to the fact that they couldn't even get it to run properly in the '90's. However, that sound I will take with me to the grave. 16 of Mark's suffolk punchs supercharged, revving to 9K Edit: 12k and sharing a crank shaft. 8-)

Now, where's my "Into the Red" CD? It's going to be a long night. Appologies in advance to Mrs. KW. [smiley=evil.gif]

F1 engines can only really be appreciated in the flesh!

The screaming when revving and deep booming on the over run really is incredible.

Merlins are very different, up there with whistling 2 stroke delitics.

I have to say though, next time I visit an air show and see some woman curled up on the floor as the Lancaster goes over, at least i will know it was Lizzie
