Might be worth checking on some gardening forums but as i understand it the roots will be extremely long and very deep rooted....so might end up killing it in nthe process.

Ive a Few links if you want too check.

The conifers in my front garden were about that high...and the roots were in my back garden...

you aint going to just move it mate
those rotes will spread all over the place
if its to high for you why not cut it down to a resonable height

i managed to cut my tree's down they were taller than the house and only made 1 cut ;D

The root system will extend around 2 - 3 times the height of the tree. At that size I doubt it would be feasable to move it ---- not impossible -- but you'd need a bl**dy great hole dug very carefully !!!!!!

thought of cutting it down to about 10 foot to make it easer to  move but dont no if this is a good thing as its like two shocks on the tree

you'll never move the whole tree mate
you got no chance not unless you want to pay out alot

best thing you can do is if its getting to high is cut it down to a height your happy with and move the rest of the tree to where you want it
if the tree is strong enough it will rerote in time :y

We moved a tree last year, well I made the tea while a Gardening guy moved it. Not a large tree, we planted it as a sapling 2 years earlier, he made sure there was a large root ball attached to it and a big enough hole to put it in it's new spot. Waiting for some new growth to see if it was successful move. :-/

when me and a fried cut our trees down we climbed to the top to tie a rope round and then cut it from the bottle and then pulled the bugger down
paul vx1 has seen the vid on my phone of the one tree coming down and filling the garden

Cut it down, kill the roots by drilling holes in the stump & filling with creosote. Then plant some more to replace the one lost :y
