Yep - welcome to 'f**k-you-over-Britain' everyone!

The best service that we've ever had is that given by the Apple Store. When looking for a new computer, we did the usual round of on-line and High Street giants. Mothers in baseball-caps first reaction was to take my 'hard-earned' but couldn't answer my questions on product suitability and availability.

A good friend put me on to the people at Apple and hey presto ....
Ended-up with a superb eMac, rather than a crappy PC and never looked back.
Good on yer Apple .... !


Thing is to be fair for the average person there too expensive cool machines mind but costly :y

I took the techie route - see what was good value on Ebuyer - got quad core, 2TB of HDD, decent MB* and graphics and 2GB of Ram for under £500, I reused a case KB mouse, monitor, DVD burner and FDD

* Firewire, fast enough, IDE support as well as SATA
