royal family reforms
« on: 28 March 2009, 13:09:46 »

Gordon Brown has spoken to Buckingham Palace about scrapping the law that bans Catholics from marrying into the Royal family.

wouldnt help veterans get to the 60th anniversary of d-day until protests were made on facebook, now he wants to be part of it.

wants to ban celebrations of st georegs day as it may offend people

now wants to scrap 300 yrs of royal tradition and allow catholics to be allowed into the royal family.

do you think this should go ahead, is gordon brown intent on scrapping everything that england stands for??

whats your opinion??

I'm not interested in the religion side of this debate - thats a different can of worms - but how can the head of the Church of England be a Catholic. History tells us how much intolerance there is between Catholics and Prodestants...

If I am correct historically, the Church of England is originally the Catholic Church of England...

Something many people do not realise...

indeed it was started as a differnet version of the catholic church so that King Henry VIII could get divorced (not allowed in catholic church) and he appointed himself the head of it. so you can't have a catholic head otherwise it would be come catholic church number 2

1... I think he should leave tradition alone

2... Hasn't the government got more pressing issues it should be spending time, energy and money sorting out

3... if they don't concentrate on 2, 1 will be irelevant !!
