I do some work on occations for Odeon, (I don't work for them just fix their tills) the mark up on the sweets etc is huge as that is where they make their money. The film companies take nearly all the ticket fee.

Went to the flicks last night to watch The Haunting in Connecticut. Hadnt been to the flicks in ages so was quite looking forward to it. Quite a good movie, but i got a bigger fright before i even sat down.
2 tickets @ £6.15 each
2 hotdogs @ £ 3.95 each
1 bottle budweiser, £ 3.15
1 very small bottle white wine, £ 3.90
£27.25 to go watch a bloody movie!!!!!  And that was us going for a cheap night out instead of going to the pub!! >:( >:(

Oh, just do what your MP probably does; charge it to your expense account!! :D :D :D ;)

Lizzie - that's an outrageous slur on our leaders..

You are right Ian, sorry..............it is a slur on our leaders to suggest they would lower themselves to charging £28 for a working class night out on their expenses............they wouldn't dream of spending less than £200 for a really posh night out at the Savoy, which looks far classier on their accounts and maintains their reputation! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

I went cinema few weeks back went to see My Bloody Valentine 3D, I bought sweets and drinks before I went you save a fortune :y

There's a notice inside cineworld saying you cant consume your own food and drink on the premises.

I take my son and his mate now and again, comes to about £30 but they enjoy it.

Of course, I can well afford it now I dont own a money pit omega any more. ;)
