T*ssers in traffic offices.
« on: 01 April 2009, 20:22:39 »

Only a small haulage firm so no diesel cards, we have a fuel tank in the yard. It's running low (delivery tomorrow), got back from the Lakes today, told i have a Nth London tomorrow, empty back don't fill up just put in what you need". No problem with that,  half-3/4 of a tank will do. Checked my notes, NW10 Park Royal (Wembley) which in real terms is W London (on the North Circular & A40 split) so further both ways = more diesel. "Empty back" means when tipped  offhire the empty container @ Lakeside containers Thurrock = a lot more diesel. So thats from west to east of london before i head back to Immingham. To sum up that's alot more miles than i was told, it's thier job to know that.

   break 'em i filled up!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

i worked in a hualage firm as a fitter . i dont blame you for filling your tank up when those tractor units only do about  10 miles a gallon when loaded  :y
