F1 - more controversy!!
« on: 02 April 2009, 11:28:54 »

Even before the first race of the season there was controversy over the "double decker" diffusers used by several teams. Now with only one race gone, the stewards have started interfering again!! After demoting Trulli with a 25 second time penalty for supposedly overtaking Hamilton under safety car conditions, he has now been re-instated and Hamilton has been stripped of his points and de-classified from the race for allegedly "misleading" the stewards over the Trulli overtaking incident.
I know the sport has to have rules and regulations but it seem that in F1 the stewards are playing "God" again and turning the sport upside down!! Who knows, if the diffuser issue appeal is succesful, Button and Barichello will be stripped of 1st and 2nd places.
What a bloody farce!! >:(

Pathetic - should have left it as it was - Trulli had no choice as he has a small off.

Wait a minute, Hamilton now declared last for lying?!

Some geezer called Michael Schumacher promoted to fourth despite not actually being in the race.

Jarno Trulli got his silver plated Toyota Hubcap trophy back.

Still time for it to all change before Sundays race or the appeal or the counter appeal or the....................

You have got to laugh! Nearly as much fun as the Apprentice.

As soon as the first guy to cross the chequered flag doesn't win it's no longer motor racing but a soap opera.  >:(

Unlikely, if it were the mclarens however then they'd probably ban them for the rest of the season or summit!!  >:(

Another sport spoilt by mega money, lawyers and little hitlers. I for one thought that this year would see better racing, better cars and less controversy, in actual fact the racing was about the same, the cars look bloody awfull and no one seems to be able to mention F1 without claims and counter claims being thrown around.  :-/ :-/

On Sunday I watched a almost full F1 race for the first time for many years when I thought I had seen the drivers cross the line in the order they would receive points; just like it always used to be. ::) ::) ::) :D :D

The situation since the checkered flag went down has made me decide yet again to forget it as frankly it is a over indulged farce of a sport which still is getting worse!! >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

There seems to be little true info on what happened, but it seems as if Hamilton or McLaren lied, and have therefore been punished.

Glad it happened to Hamilton, it is now time for him to lose a spot of arrogance and show us if he has talent...

Think you might be right there

McLaren are not appealing but are insisting Lewis did not lie :-/
