You race from 18th to 4th then you open your mouth.

He's going to have to go on a course before he can win the driver's championship again.

Sorry, but all this crap with this idiot really fizzes my liver. All through 2008 he spent most of it whining about other drivers and the FIA, and I'm sure he'll spit his dummy out over this too.

When will Hamilton realise that he's not the F1 legend he seems to think he is?? He opened his gob and said some stupid things over the radio, basically talking bullshit to demote another driver and to promote himself up the points. It's only fair that him and his team gets punished.

He's only world champion because of another driver pulling over and letting him through, and pundits have the bloody cheek to put him in the same league as Senna or Schumacher.

It was so satisfying to see Hamilton get mullered by Jenson Button last weekend. Finally a British driver worth talking about, and hopefully it will put a stop to all the ridiculous Hamilton hype we had to put up with last year.

Ok, rant over.....and breathe......

P.S. Wasn't it bloody brilliant to see F1 back on the BBC....Not an advert in sight.

Exactly. Well said.

He needs to prove himself first, and now the McLaren looks off form, he has the ideal oppertunity.

Disagree on Button though - undoubtedly a nice smooth driver, but ultimately a loser with no desire to win.  His 2 wins have been due to luck (1st) and superior car (2nd)

I've got to admit, i did enjoy seeing Jenson cleaning up, a well deserved win i think.
I think Jenson is by far the better driver, and hopefully this will come to light now it seems his car is better with a ferrari man at the helm

I can believe that ... :(

"Team Orders" come from the top .. and when they are paying millions a year they demand, and get, total obedience.

McLaren management are the ones at fault here, and have been in the past. They take all the credit when things go well, but try and shift the blame to the driver when it goes wrong.

I find this development "interesting" ..

Quote
McLaren sporting director Dave Ryan has been suspended by the team following Lewis Hamilton’s disqualification from the Australian Grand Prix.

Ryan was McLaren’s representative in the original post-race stewards’ enquiry in Melbourne, where according to the FIA both he and Hamilton denied deliberately moving aside for Toyota’s Jarno Trulli during the final safety-car period - evidence that was subsequently contradicted by recordings from McLaren's team radio.

“In my 20-odd years working for McLaren, I doubt if I’ve met a more dedicated individual than Davey,” said McLaren team principal Martin Whitmarsh. “He's been an integral part of McLaren since 1974 and has played a crucial role in the team’s many world championship successes since that time.

“However, his role in the events of last Sunday, particularly his dealings with the FIA stewards, has caused serious repercussions for the team, for which we apologise. Therefore, I suspended him this morning and he has accepted this.”

I am not too sure if Hamilton is not to blamed on this one. He was the one who was interested in going past (listen to the radio conversation; there is ample proof)

I reckon Dave was the scapegoat in this case; all along Hamilton has had his own opinion & his own mind - why would he disregard his own thoughts this time around?

Personally, I do not reckon the whole story has come out yet; as mentioned by some of you earlier - he deserves to win respect of others and not demand it all the time. Good to see Button win the Australian GP. Now is time for Massa to win one :y
