Debt recession counter has gone up from £49,000,000 to £157,819,147... How realistic is it do you reckon???? ....I can give em fifty pence towards it..... ::) ::) Also just seen that jag/landrover been given £330 million and nissan £380 million....

Yep, I feel as though I owe every penny of that at the moment, and it will get worse!! ::) ::) ::)

Jaguar and Land Rover have only been given that loan on the understanding they produce 'greener' cars.   Look out for the electric or hydrogen driven Range Rover for the USA market, plus Europe! :D :D ;)

Jag LR have made good inroads on emission reduction. Obviously they are never going to be the most green cars made though.  BMW reckon they are going to have to charge customers more than £5k per car to cover the extra tax as they are not going to meet the target emmissions across the range.

I know Jag LR are in a reasonably good position if they can see through this downturn - they parted company with Ford (who really are in trouble, to a similar extent as GM, but with less 'clouded accountancy') with no money. This in a backdrop of this government being hell bent on destroying the company, particularly the LR arm.
