bit late now but had a tartarini kit on one of my old sennys single point
and the emergency start on gas trick was to flick the button 4 times i.e. petrol gas petrol gas then leave it on gas and it would  start on gas then,
warning!!!!
and when the engine is cold do not rev it as this is when the gas is not fully vapourised and can go BANG and take out the airflow meter but let it warm up gently and will be ok!! :y

Your warning has been noted Omegatoy, Thanks, Must admit when the petrol was working it would start on petrol and switch to Gas on pull away, or on a very slight increase in revs even when cold.

Must admit Im really suprised how well this runs for a single point, the only other LPG Ive had before was a veccy 2.0 eco factory fit multi point, it was really crap on Gas and seemed to make up the faults as it went along.  :y

Tartarini system on my senny did 189000 miles with no faults except one hole in diaphragm in vapouriser and the parts supply was excellent ordered it from an agent in stourbridge and was there in two days :y had another tartarini system on the GSI which was varvale and was brilliant did loads of trackdays on it andnever a problem at all only thing i ever had to do apart from filters was every so often remove the top of the vaporiser and clean andpolish it as the gas used to build up a gunge inside the vapouriser which although it would run it wsnt happy on ful throttle, revved clean up to 7200rpm and power was down to 198bhp from 204 other than that brilliant!!
strangely enough its still going fine with the guy who bought it off me and has now done over 200k but the headgasket has gone so its parked up!!! :y

More stuff noted for the future!  :y

We had the same system, and it worked for me
I could get mine to start from cold straight onto LPG, was lumpy as break for a few min tho  ::)

Martin, I originaly posted my problem on a LPG Forum without success (well done OFF'ers). One Guy on the LPG forum told me to try this thinking mine may be a Leonardo system. so give it a go, not sure how you gonna know weither it started on Gas or Petrol though.  :y

"it may well be with the age of car and the fact that it switches immediately it's started, that you have a Leonardo. If you do, and you'll have a control switch with a yellow LED on the left below the switch, a red petrol LED on the right and a row of 4 green LEDs along the top. If this is what you have, turn on the ignition, move the switch from gas to petrol and back to gas again, then start the engine without turning the ignition off first and it will start on gas."

TBH... He's possibly correct, if you had a rocker type switch!

That's why I asked what type of switch it was ::) ::)
