Anyway, I've said enough now. If I see a thread going the way of that particular thread, I will not post in it again. If everyone did the same, it would soon go away (or be left to the idiots who want to have a go).

STM - there was more to it than that single thread.

There has been, and still is under the surface, a problem with part of the forum, and its a volatile situation.

That may be the case Jaime, I dont know, or want to know. But that particular thread was what kicked it off the other night.

If these 'undercurrents' continue, then perhaps a clear warning, followed by a clear-out may be in order. If people are waiting to go off half cocked because of personal grudges, then I cant see any way of stopping it, other than real-time moderating (out of the question, I know).

If people don't tow the line after a warning then break em off We don't want this Forum being ruined

Real time moderating is very difficult with just 4 admins Steve. No we don't want to ruin it Daz it's how we all deal with it that matters. The more we keep bringing it up and repeating the same thing on different threads the longer it will continue. If everybody stopped then it would soon settle back down. Thats my tuppence worth anyway

Whilst I realise that this was the latest in a spate of disagreements lately, it really wasn't that bad. People who weren't privvy to the goings on must be thinking that it was an exceptionally bad episode. It wasn't.

I haven't spoken about it so far, but now everyone knows what started it, I'm sure you'll agree it wasn't a big deal. The overreaction was stunning.

I suggest that if things appear to be going that way again, that WE(incl me) take a few minutes to consider before typing anything.

I agree totally TD, however thats why there are smiley faces They are emoticons to show how what has been typed is meant Hence me using lots and lots of them, to make sure I'm not misunderstood.

Some peeps tend not to look at the smilies tho or if they do dont understand them......ive read threads where the orig poster has used smilies and to me i know they are taking the pee......but some early replies to the thread are totally serious

Mind you I do have a merc that at the moment is costing more than an omega to keep on the road......its off to the merc dealer on friday, to find out why the air suspension isnt working....thats gonna hurt  

Plus it drinks diesel faster than a V6 petrol Omega.......so as it costs more than an omega.......i think i should be classed as having one
