Thats fine - extra info to a discussion is no problem at all.  In fact, particularly with problems, we like to know the outcome, and what fix worked

Completely agree - its frustrating when people disappear into the ether after asking diagnostic advice.   Its often valuable feedback to know what the problem/fix turned out to be.
