Can't say I am surprised, I think the vast majprity of people just want an item to function and be simple to use. A lot of manufacturers forget this.
Maybe one or two of them could learn a lesson from this.  :)

The problem is, if something’s dirt cheap, you expect it to be crap!

So if it works better than expected, then the item automatically becomes fantastic...10/10 etc

On the other hand, if you pay £££'s for something, you expect it to be the dogs balls! So if there’s a TINY little thing which you don’t like about it, even something stupidly minor, it no longer scores as high (if that makes sense).

If I were looking for opinions on any sort of "Hi-Fi" I wouldn't be asking people who bought and are happy to listen to something costing £16.49 (nor £16k for that matter!).

Typical Daily Mail "Shock! Horror! - Journalist pulls headline out of own @rse!" story IMHO.

Also shows how big a pinch of salt is required when reading online review sites.

Yes. I agree with both of the above.

I agree.

Being the eternal pessimist, I expect everything I buy to be shite, and get all pleasantly surprised when it does what it claims it does.  Hence why I think that little Epson printer of mine is the dogs danglies.  Obviously, for Sony, they never fail to not live up to my low expectations...
