My Frontera

After passing it's MOT and then on the way to Kent to collect the eldest son and the N/S rear wheel going it's own way is sorted and VERY economical.

Taking the son back to kent I got a call from Timbuk, Could I collect a "CAR" for him, It's in Aldershot.
Ok no probs, Wolves to Kent Via Aldershot, back to wolves Via Coventry.

Wolves to Aldershot solo
Aldershot to Kent "A" frame and car
Kent to Coventry "A" frame and car
Coventry to Wolves Solo

430 miles
£60 @ 1.05 per litre Avg

approx  34.8MPG

mmmm 430 miles at £60 ... ??

= 13.95 pence /mile

Virtually the same as I'm getting from LPG and I'm NOT driving a big noisey diesel .. but a smooth sophisticated V6 with oodles of comfort and power ...   :)

Ah but are you towing an A frame and car for 50% of it?

Nah ... a 1600 Kg "pikey wagon"  instead   :)

The 14 p/mile is over 12 months / 11445 miles average .. on a solo run I can easily get down to 9 pence/mile

LOL, could have saved a fortune if the towed car was put in 'Drive' with added house brick on the throttle  :D
