camping with dogs
« on: 03 May 2009, 20:51:28 »

Having seen Brucie camping with his 4 legged friend this weekend, i am tempted to do a trip myself with our dogs.

Mother & father tunnie are away in a couple of weeks, tempted to pop up to Sherwood forest with the dogs.

Already got all the camping gear, just wondering how they will get on? They have never been before.

Dogs already bark like mad if they hear something outside or a door slam on our drive, so i am guessing they will go nuts during the night in a tent, but then again they will be with me  :-/

They tend to behave a lot better with me than mother tunnie  ;D

Anyone here camp with dogs?

We take ours when we go camping - she loves it!

But what we do is put her in a dog cage at night, incase she gets the sudden urge to go for a wander round at night...

can't really do that with 2 dogs in my saloon  :-/

I was thinking of having them in the tent with me, as they tend to be better when with someone.

I take Holly with me when i go camping.....she's pretty good  :y

Just have to zip her in my sleeping compartment at night, or else she escapes under the bottom edge of the tent.......she's too nosey at times  ::)

Tho if you have 2 dogs and a tent with two sleeping compartments.....then id suggest zipping them in the 'spare room'
I would think they would be fine......coz they would hear you next door  :y
