What Cost More - Car or Registration
« on: 14 May 2009, 17:45:50 »

I've just had a car flying past me (I thought it was a Continental but my lad thinks it was an Aston Martin) with the number plate D7.

Some people must have some serious bread to waste! :o

Anopther plate I used to see a lot of around Offerton nr Stockport was JUL 1E - on a OLD red 440 Volvo!! My wifes name (amongst others) is Julie so you can image in the conversations we used to have about that! ::)

I wished i still had some of the reg numbers that passed through my hands years ago. I used to buy cars and flog the plates ansd sometimes break the car.

A school pal did the same but on mopeds. He advertised widely in the local papers for mopeds and made a mint on selling on the plates. He then took the bikes and mopeds via lorry (several trips) to the landfill site. Think how much those would be worth now even without their original "no" year number plates. One wasn't a bike but was a working grass cutter and the plate was something like K9 .            Aghh.

I have just done some research to 'buy' a 2006 Aston Vanquish V12 Coupe

£95,000 is the answer! 8-) 8-)

So a D7 plate is worth £100,000????? :-? :-? :-? and it will not depreciate!!

So I reckon the plate is worth more than the car!! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;)

Well it could have been a DB7, but someone who owns that type of registration would surely have it on a V12 Vanquish; nothing less!! ;D ;D ;D ;)  They would have DB7 on their other car, a Aston Martin DB7!! :D :D ;)
