Trade Club Spanish style!
« on: 15 May 2009, 14:01:13 »

First off don't get too excited. I went into my local Opel garage today total staff Mr and his wife (she does the books and sells new cars)- like the old days in Britain.

I am going to do an oil change in the summer and here are his prices in sterling:

canister filter 0650401   £3.50
Air filter 0835617          £14.70
5l semi sintetico 10 40 oil £23.64 (inc 30% discount).

I asked about the equivalent of "Trade Club" - he hadn't heard of it but said car repair shops, mechanics get a discount but have to set up an account if I understood him correctly.

How do those prices stack up against over the counter or trade club in the UK please?

I also took away 5 litres of the red antifreeze - that was £13.50 (no receipt and no VAT as is normal here).

Next time the local hooligan - Omegatoy - comes over, can't you do a deal and get him to bring a load of parts back?

Possibly but I think he is having to buy a bigger estate car just to carry all my stuff anyway. :) :) If tractors use the same oil then I might be up for half a "batch".

20l can or 205l barrel? If the latter, break me :o

Remember the 4 for price of 3 offer, so may be cheaper to get smaller ones
