Can I just say thanks to everyone who has donated so far..I am overwhelmed by the support I have received from fellow members ;)
My race is the 17th May at 11am. I have just re-joined my local gym and will be training fri,sat and sun.
At the moment I am going through a lot of worry with my Grandma who is 84.She has just been diagnosed with Haemophillia which is very rare in my Grandmas age group it is where the blood dosent clot. The hospital wanted her to stay in for 3 days but she wont even though it could mean she could have a massive bleed and die :'(.
I am very close to my Grandma so obviously very worried I managed to get her into a day clinic today and she has to go back fri and then every monday..I love her to bits and want the best for her..xx

All the best, but isnt it Women only 'carry' Haemophillia, and cannot show symptoms?

Thanks for the well wishes..You are right what you are saying there are 2 main types which are inherited. The Doctors explained today that most Haemophillia sufferers develop it from birth which is inherited from their parents...Type A and Type B...

The type my Grandma has got is not inherited at all and it can be brought on with other causes eg cancer (which she is being tested for ).Or it can just simply appear from nowhere. The Docs were quite fascinated about how rare it is ::) Mind you I always say they broke the mould when they made my Grandma ;)
