I have a stinker of a cold, as does my wife. I, of course, am suffering far more than her.
When she had the audacity to call me 'woosie boy' this morning, I told her the scientifically proven reason why.
When you have a heavy cold your head is filled with mucus (snot). Women have a gap between the brain and the skull and the mucus fills this vacuum causing a slight increase in pressure.
Men, on the other hand, have no such space, as their larger brains fill the whole skull cavity. Hence the excess mucus cause severe pressure and the suffering is intense.
I, personally, would prefer the increased intelligence which invariably comes with a larger brain. But women really do need to have more sympathy and refrain from passing vulgar remarks as they bring me my cup of tea in bed before they go off to work.
